Brand Building Advice for food bloggers with Monique Volz

Today we’re resharing a previous episode. It’s my interview with Monique Volz with tips on how to build your brand. It provides specific advice for food bloggers. If that’s you, you’re going to love today’s show!

Brand Building Advice for Food Bloggers

Monique and I talk about a lot of things related to brand building advice for food bloggers. And one thing that really left an impression was Monique’s emphasis on finding your passion. Because it’s one thing to be passionate about something in the beginning. But it’s another story to maintain that passion over time.

Because finding your passion and representing that in your brand is SO Important to your work as a creative entrepreneur!

I also love that Monique talks about her emphasis in creating healthy recipes and not so much about the photography. I hadn’t heard too many food bloggers say something like that. And so talking with Monique was one the first times I began to realize that food blogging is really a “create your own adventure” kind of experience.

When I started this podcast, I really thought I was looking for the secret.

You know? Whats’ the secret to being a successful food blogger?

In reality, the secret is YOU.

You don’t have to build your blog following the template of someone else who is doing it this way or that way. In reality there is no right or wrong way to go about it. Just have a thoughtful process, listen to yourself, and follow what makes you come alive.

I heard someone say that recently  – and I can’t think of who it was. I think it might have been Seth Godin. But the quote was something like this: I want to leave behind me work that I’m really proud of.

That’s a powerful thought.

When you think about your blog that way, it’s no longer about following someone else’s recipe for success. It’s about listening to yourself and following your own creative passion.
