More about Nicole

Nicole was a stay-at-home when she started going for walks with a friend. This friend happened to be a successful food blogger and eventually recruited Nicole to do some work for her. Nicole was intrigued by helping her friend and learned some much about the analytics of Pinterest that she began to formulate some successful strategies.

That’s when she started her virtual assistant company. Now she has staff and nearly 200 clients for whom she provides topnotch Pinterest services.

Keep Your Eyes on Your Pinterest Account

Nicole sees a lot of people who feel like the easiest thing to do is to follow what the bigger accounts are doing. The problem with this, is there are no two Pinterest accounts that are alike. Remember, Nicole works with a lot of different Pinterest accounts so she knows.

What works for one blogger may not work for another. However, it’s this tweaking mindset that can help yours perform at its very best. Simply by paying attention to your analytics, you can begin to make changes to how you’re pinning and that can have a huge impact on your results.

Know Your Analytics

If you want to improve at Pinterest, you need to know your Google Analytics. Nicole recommends at a minimum understanding how much traffic you’re getting in from Pinterest. Here’s a screenshot where you can discover those numbers.

A screenshot of Google Analytics has arrows pointing to "All Traffic" and "Source/Medium."

This alone can be helpful, but Nicole also recommends using Tailwind to better understand your Pinterest audience and boards. She also suggests using Tailwind to help organize the pins you’re sending to Pinterest daily.

See the link below for more information on how to use Tailwind.

Reinvigorate Your Pinterest Strategies

As Nicole describes, Pinterest is constantly changing. As a result, she strongly discourages a “plug and play” strategy that leaves you feeling disconnected with what’s going on there. In fact, Nicole recommends creating a basic strategy that stays the same all year long, such as pinning other people’s content in addition to your own (especially if you’re new) and pinning live daily on the site.

Pinterest has huge traffic potential so I encourage you to listen to the full episode for even more ideas on how you can improve your Pinterest game today.
